Auckland City Brokers Ltd uses FAB Forte, for both client relationship management (CRM) and the reporting and management of smaller investment portfolios, to about $300,000.  ( for an example of a Forte portfolio refer to Case study page or click here)

 

For larger portfolios where a greater degree of sophistication is required, the OneAnswer Investment Wrap Platform is used. This system is only available through licensed Authorised Financial Advisers. An advanced web- based portfolio management service, it offers the facility to hold  and administer a large range of managed funds, cash, share and fixed interest investments, on your behalf.  A cash management account is an integral part of the system.

Research

Auckland City Brokers Ltd  has access to  the expertise offered by a range of research organisations. In particular  an annual fee paid  to  the International  Research  House, Morningstar secures the use of their web based facility, and ensures adviser research updates are received on a  daily basis.

Model Portfolios

Model Portfolios are available for all investor risk profiles. These models are compiled by Strategi Ltd in conjunction with Morningstar research

 

Investment options however are not limited to the products contained in these portfolios. Where alternatives are selected, either by the investor, or as recommended by the adviser then documentation ensures that a process has been followed.

 

Investment research ensures that any fixed interest products recommended outside the model portfolios  have a minimum of an Investment Grade rating ( Standard & Poors BBB-)

Advice

All  Personalised  Investment advice is confirmed in writing to the client

 

Code Standard 8 - An AFA must take reasonable steps to ensure that the personalized service is suitable for the client, by making reasonable enquiries about the client’s financial situation, needs, goals and tolerance to risk.

 

Code Standard 9 - Where AFA provides an investment planning service to a retail client The AFA must provide a written explanation to the client on the basis on which those services are provided and make the client aware of the principal benefits and risks involved in following the advice.

Reporting

Comphrehensive  portfolio reports are readily available from both our reporting systems at any time.

Tax reports are produced annually and can be copied in electronic form to accountants.
